the lull.

After we had sorted out Visa’s and flights we didn’t really do much for a while, we told family and friends that we were leaving and I made tons of lists of stuff that needed doing, places to travel while we were out there and other bits and pieces we wanted to do, I had about ten A4 sheets filled with spider diagrams and bullet points. I have serious organisation issues!

I looked at a few hostels in Melbourne, mainly in the CBD, St Kilda and similar places, we just wanted something cheap with a lot going on so we’d have the chance to meet new people and get some good tips from other travellers! My number one go to website is always http://www.hostelbookers.com I’ve always used it and it’s the best for comparisons etc. We booked a private double room at Flinders Station Hostel right in the city centre, it looks clean, welcoming and there’s a bar, what more could you want! The best part is the 10% deposit and then the rest of the payment being due on check in, helps with my saving, which isn’t going too well!

We also planned a leaving do for a couple of weeks time at a family members pub, alcohol and the people you love, what more could you want!
